Bio:
Lucas Basile is our newest Assistant Golf Professional with a strong background in playing, junior golf instruction, and golf operations. Over his 3 years of internship experience he has worked with The California Junior Golf Association (2020), The Westchester Country Club (2021), and The Riviera Golf and Tennis Club (2022). Highlights include working The 121st U.S. Woman’s Amateur at WCC and the 2023 Genesis Invitational at Riviera.
Lucas is a recent graduate of Methodist University where he majored in Business with a concentration in the PGA Golf Management Program. He was a highly recruited member of the Men’s Golf Team where his collegiate highlights consist of 8 team wins (including the 2022 DIII Men’s National Championship), 2 individual titles, and several top-10 finishes.
Lucas is from Southern California where he spent much of his amateur golf career playing up and down the Pacific Coast. He has numerous top-10 finishes highlighted by the prestigious 2022 Oxnard City Championship (6th), 2021 NYS Amateur (7th), 2021 Michael Hebron Amateur Championship (9th), and 2020 San Diego Amateur (5th).
Lucas’ PGA membership is pending and he is pursuing teaching certifications in Stack & Tilt and Jim McClean as well as a masters in athletic training.
